The Alps from East

The Alps mountains are the highest mountain range in Europe. They separate the plains of Northern Italy on the left from Central Europe with Germany on the right and France in the background. This view shows the whole Alps west of Dachstein on the right and the Niedere Tauern on the left including all peaks above 3000m. In the far background left the Pyrenees can be seen.

I have come across your site by accident and have found it very interesting. The world looks so small from so far above. You would have to wonder why we would want to fight over it all the time rather than share what we have. You can see that the land was once covered by the sea as the patterns when seen from so far above the earth look similar to the patterns one would see on the beach after the tide has moved across the ground. The whole thing is fascinating.. well done
