Introduction into satellite image interpretation from the NASA

The NASA has put up a well written introduction into basic satellite image interpretation. It is illustrated with various nice examples of satellite images of different scales and subjects – including this view of northern India

Admirably almost all of the images used are visible light true color images – everything else would be just confusing for a basic introduction. Read the full text for more information on the above and other images. Recommended reading for anyone looking at satellite images who wants to understand what can be seen on those.
