Here two Winter impressions from Northern Europe – the first is from Northern Russia showing the city of Archangelsk:
You can see the frozen Northern Dvina River and the likewise mostly frozen White Sea. Well visible in the low sun is also the smoke from the power plants in the area.

This image does not only feature snow cover in the mountains but also shows a remarkable color combination with the dark green of forested areas contrasting with the brown colors of the non-wooded parts of the hills and mountains.
