At the start of the year i showed winter snow on Tenerife – here is a second image of snow on La Palma from about three weeks ago. Snow is limited to the highest parts at the rim of the Caldera de Taburiente above about 2000m. The bright spots near the coast especially at the southwest side of the island are banana plantations by the way which are limited to the coastal areas where temperatures do not drop below about 10°C even in winter.
