Lake Manasarovar and Rakshastal

The Lakes Manasarovar and Rakshastal are two large lakes on the Tibetan Plateau. Lake Manasarovar (on the left) is famous for its religous importance in both Hinduism and Buddhism. In front of the lakes in the south this view shows the Gurla Mandhata (7694m) and behind the Transhimalaya mountains with Mount Kailash.
