The northern Pamir and the Fedchenko Glacier
In the northern part of the Pamier mountains the Fedchenko Glacier forms a 77km long stream of ice flowing north from the up to about 6500m high mountains. The glacier drains into the Vakhsh River which forms the narrow valley crossing this view from right to left in the middle. Behind the much broader Fergana Valley can be seen that is divided between Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
