"The Pool" IRTC entry

This picture was made for the March/April 2003 IRTC (Internet Raytracing Competition).

The topic was 'Architecture', you can have a look at the other entries in this round at the IRTC Website.

A room with a pool filled with water and some accessories. The scene is a demonstration for the abilities of future MegaPOV to deal with high contrasts in scenes and strong illumination.

It achieved the 14th place out of 104, the detailed results are:

• artistic merit: 13.862
• technical merit: 13.690
• concept, originality, interpretation of theme: 12.207
• Overall: 13.2529
